An Act to amend the Sydney Airport Demand Management Act 1997, and for related purposes

The Parliament of Australia enacts:

1 Short title

This Act may be cited as the Sydney Airport Demand Management Amendment Act 2001.

2 Commencement

This Act commences on the day on which it receives the Royal Assent.

3 Schedule(s)

Each Act that is specified in a Schedule to this Act is amended or repealed as set out in the applicable items in the Schedule concerned, and any other item in a Schedule to this Act has effect according to its terms.

Schedule 1—Sydney Airport Demand Management Act 1997

1 At the end of Part 1

Add:

5A Part IIIA of the Trade Practices Act 1974 to be subject to this Act

IIIA of the Trade Practices Act 1974 has effect subject to this Act.

2 After subsection 35(1)

Insert:

The Scheme may deal with the allocation of slots for specified categories of aircraft movements.
