          <p>		This Act may be cited as the <i>Jurisdiction of Courts (Family Law) Act 2006</i>.</p>

          <num>1</num>

            <p>Each provision of this Act specified in column 1 of the table commences, or is taken to have commenced, in accordance with column 2 of the table. Any other statement in column 2 has effect according to its terms.</p>

            <heading>Subsection 4(1)</heading>
            <content>
              <p>Insert:</p>
              <p><b><i>Family Law Magistrate of Western Australia</i></b> means a person who holds office concurrently:</p>
            </content>
            <paragraph eId="schedule-1__clause-10__para-a">
              <num>a</num>
              <content>
                <p>	(a)	as a magistrate under the <i>Magistrates Court Act 2004</i> of Western Australia; and</p>
              </content>
            </paragraph>
            <paragraph eId="schedule-1__clause-10__para-b">
              <num>b</num>
              <content>
                <p>as the Principal Registrar, or as a Registrar, of the Family Court of Western Australia.</p>
              </content>
            </paragraph>
          </hcontainer>
          <hcontainer name="clause" eId="schedule-1__clause-11">
            <num>11</num>
            <heading>Subsection 39(7)</heading>
            <content>
              <p>Repeal the subsection, substitute:</p>
              <p>(7AAA)	Without limiting the generality of subsection (7), a Proclamation under that subsection may be expressed to apply only in relation to one or more of the following:</p>

                <p>The Governor-General may, by Proclamation, fix a day as the day on and after which proceedings in relation to matters arising under this Part may not be instituted in, or transferred to, a court of summary jurisdiction in a specified State or Territory.</p>

                <p>The amendments made by items 3, 5, 8, 10 to 18 and 25 apply to proceedings instituted before or after the commencement of this Part in the Magistrates Court of Western Australia constituted by a Family Law Magistrate of Western Australia.</p>

            <hcontainer name="subclause" eId="schedule-1__clause-27__subclause-2">
              <num>2</num>
              <content>
                <p>The amendments made by items 1, 2, 4, 6, 7, 9, 19, 20 to 24 and 26 apply to proceedings instituted after the commencement of this Part in the Magistrates Court of Western Australia constituted by a Family Law Magistrate of Western Australia.</p>
              </content>
