            <num>19</num>
            <heading>Legal proceedings</heading>
            <content>
              <p>If, immediately before the commencement time, CAMAC was a party to proceedings pending in any court or tribunal, the Commonwealth is substituted for CAMAC as a party to the proceedings from that time.</p>
            </content>
          </hcontainer>
          <hcontainer name="clause" eId="schedule-7__clause-20">
            <num>20</num>
            <heading>Transfer of records to the Treasury Department</heading>
            <content>
              <p>Any records or documents that were in the possession of CAMAC immediately before the commencement time are to be transferred to the Treasury Department.</p>
              <p>Note:	The records and documents are Commonwealth records for the purposes of the <i>Archives Act 1983</i>.</p>
            </content>
          </hcontainer>
          <hcontainer name="clause" eId="schedule-7__clause-21">
            <num>21</num>
            <heading>Protection of information obtained from ASIC</heading>
            <content>
              <p>If:</p>
              <p>the person continues to be subject to the condition after the commencement time.</p>
            </content>
            <paragraph eId="schedule-7__clause-21__para-a">
              <num>a</num>
              <content>
                <p>	(a)	before the commencement time, information was disclosed to CAMAC in accordance with subsection 127(4) of the <i>Australian Securities and Investments Commission Act 2001</i>; and</p>
              </content>
            </paragraph>
            <paragraph eId="schedule-7__clause-21__para-b">
              <num>b</num>
              <content>
                <p>immediately before the commencement time, a person was subject to a condition imposed under subsection 127(4A) of that Act in relation to the information disclosed;</p>
              </content>
            </paragraph>
          </hcontainer>
          <hcontainer name="clause" eId="schedule-7__clause-22">
            <num>22</num>
            <heading>Final report</heading>
            <hcontainer name="subclause" eId="schedule-7__clause-22__subclause-1">
              <num>1</num>
              <content>
                <p>The Treasury Secretary must prepare and give to the Treasury Minister, for presentation to the Parliament, a report on the activities of CAMAC during the final reporting period.</p>
              </content>
            </hcontainer>
            <hcontainer name="subclause" eId="schedule-7__clause-22__subclause-2">
              <num>2</num>
              <content>
                <p>(2)	The Minister administering the <i>Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013</i> may give the Treasury Secretary written directions in relation to the report. The Treasury Secretary must comply with any such directions in preparing the report.</p>
              </content>
            </hcontainer>
            <hcontainer name="subclause" eId="schedule-7__clause-22__subclause-3">
              <num>3</num>
              <content>
                <p>The Treasury Secretary must give the Treasury Minister the report <quantity refersTo="#deadline">within 4 months</quantity> after the end of the final reporting period.</p>
              </content>
            </hcontainer>
            <hcontainer name="subclause" eId="schedule-7__clause-22__subclause-4">
              <num>4</num>
              <content>
                <p>The Treasury Minister must table the report in each House of the Parliament within 15 sitting days of that House after the report is given to the Treasury Minister.</p>
              </content>
            </hcontainer>
            <hcontainer name="subclause" eId="schedule-7__clause-22__subclause-5">
              <num>5</num>
              <content>
                <p>In this item:</p>
              </content>
            </hcontainer>
            <content>
              <p><b><i>final reporting period</i></b> means the period:</p>
            </content>
            <paragraph eId="schedule-7__clause-22__para-a">
              <num>a</num>
              <content>
                <p>starting on the first day after the end of the last period for which an annual report on CAMAC’s operations or activities was given to the Treasury Minister; and</p>
              </content>
            </paragraph>
            <paragraph eId="schedule-7__clause-22__para-b">
              <num>b</num>
              <content>
                <p>ending immediately before the commencement time.</p>
              </content>
            </paragraph>
          </hcontainer>
          <hcontainer name="clause" eId="schedule-7__clause-23">
            <num>23</num>
            <heading>Exemption from stamp duty etc.</heading>
            <content>
              <p>No stamp duty or other tax is payable under a law of a State or Territory in respect of the following, or anything connected with the following:</p>
            </content>
            <paragraph eId="schedule-7__clause-23__para-a">
              <num>a</num>
              <content>
                <p>the vesting of an asset or liability under this Part;</p>
              </content>
            </paragraph>
            <paragraph eId="schedule-7__clause-23__para-b">
              <num>b</num>
              <content>
                <p>the operation of this Part in any other respect.</p>
              </content>
            </paragraph>
          </hcontainer>
          <hcontainer name="clause" eId="schedule-7__clause-24">
            <num>24</num>
            <heading>Delegation by Ministers</heading>
            <hcontainer name="subclause" eId="schedule-7__clause-24__subclause-1">
              <num>1</num>
              <content>
                <p>The Treasury Minister may, by writing, delegate all or any of his or her powers and functions under this Part (other than under item 27) to:</p>
              </content>
            </hcontainer>
            <paragraph eId="schedule-7__clause-24__para-a">
              <num>a</num>
              <content>
                <p><role refersTo="#secretary">the Secretary</role> of the Treasury Department; or</p>
              </content>
            </paragraph>
            <paragraph eId="schedule-7__clause-24__para-b">
              <num>b</num>
              <content>
                <p>an SES employee, or acting SES employee, in the Treasury Department.</p>
              </content>
            </paragraph>
            <content>
              <p>Note:	The expressions <b><i>SES employee</i></b> and <b><i>acting SES employee</i></b> are defined in the <i>Acts Interpretation Act 1901</i>.</p>
            </content>
            <hcontainer name="subclause" eId="schedule-7__clause-24__subclause-2">
              <num>2</num>
              <content>
                <p>(2)	The Minister administering the <i>Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013 </i>may delegate his or her power under subitem 22(2) to the Secretary of the Department administered by that Minister.</p>

            <hcontainer name="subclause" eId="schedule-7__clause-24__subclause-3">
              <num>3</num>
              <content>
                <p>In exercising powers or functions under a delegation, the delegate must comply with any directions of the delegating Minister.</p>
              </content>
            </hcontainer>
          </hcontainer>
          <hcontainer name="clause" eId="schedule-7__clause-25">
            <num>25</num>
            <heading>Saving—operation of section 246 of the Australian Securities and Investments Commission Act 2001</heading>
            <hcontainer name="subclause" eId="schedule-7__clause-25__subclause-1">
              <num>1</num>
              <content>
                <p>(1)	Despite the repeal of paragraphs 246(1)(b), (d) and (h) of the <i>Australian Securities and Investments Commission Act 2001 </i>by this Schedule, section 246 of that Act continues to apply, in relation to anything done or omitted to be done before the commencement time, as if the repeal had not happened.</p>
              </content>
            </hcontainer>
            <hcontainer name="subclause" eId="schedule-7__clause-25__subclause-2">
              <num>2</num>
              <content>
                <p>(2)	Paragraph 246(1)(b) of the <i>Australian Securities and Investments Commission Act 2001 </i>as continued under subitem (1) has effect, in relation to anything done or omitted to be done by CAMAC before the commencement time, as if the Commonwealth were referred to in that paragraph.</p>
              </content>
            </hcontainer>
          </hcontainer>
          <hcontainer name="clause" eId="schedule-7__clause-26">
            <num>26</num>
            <heading>Compensation for acquisition of property</heading>
            <hcontainer name="subclause" eId="schedule-7__clause-26__subclause-1">
              <num>1</num>
              <content>
                <p>If the operation of this Part would result in an acquisition of property (within the meaning of paragraph 51(xxxi) of the Constitution) from a person otherwise than on just terms (within the meaning of that paragraph), the Commonwealth is liable to pay a reasonable amount of compensation to the person.</p>
              </content>
            </hcontainer>
            <hcontainer name="subclause" eId="schedule-7__clause-26__subclause-2">
              <num>2</num>
              <content>
                <p>If the Commonwealth and the person do not agree on the amount of the compensation, the person may institute proceedings in a court of competent jurisdiction for the recovery from the Commonwealth of such reasonable amount of compensation as the court determines.</p>
              </content>
            </hcontainer>
          </hcontainer>
          <hcontainer name="clause" eId="schedule-7__clause-27">
            <num>27</num>
            <heading>Transitional rules</heading>
            <hcontainer name="subclause" eId="schedule-7__clause-27__subclause-1">
              <num>1</num>
              <content>
                <p>The Treasury Minister may, by legislative instrument, make rules:</p>
              </content>
            </hcontainer>
            <paragraph eId="schedule-7__clause-27__para-a">
              <num>a</num>
              <content>
                <p>prescribing matters required or permitted by this Schedule to be prescribed by the rules; or</p>
              </content>
            </paragraph>
            <paragraph eId="schedule-7__clause-27__para-b">
              <num>b</num>
              <content>
                <p>in relation to transitional matters arising out of the amendments and repeals made by this Schedule.</p>
              </content>
            </paragraph>
            <hcontainer name="subclause" eId="schedule-7__clause-27__subclause-2">
              <num>2</num>
              <content>
                <p>However, to avoid doubt, the rules may not do the following:</p>
              </content>
            </hcontainer>
            <paragraph eId="schedule-7__clause-27__para-a">
              <num>a</num>
              <content>
                <p>create an offence or civil penalty;</p>
              </content>
            </paragraph>
            <paragraph eId="schedule-7__clause-27__para-b">
              <num>b</num>
              <content>
                <p>provide powers of:</p>
              </content>
            </paragraph>
            <paragraph eId="schedule-7__clause-27__para-i">
              <num>i</num>
              <content>
                <p>arrest or detention; or</p>
              </content>
            </paragraph>
            <paragraph eId="schedule-7__clause-27__para-ii">
              <num>ii</num>
              <content>
                <p>entry, search or seizure;</p>
              </content>
            </paragraph>
            <paragraph eId="schedule-7__clause-27__para-c">
              <num>c</num>
              <content>
                <p>impose a tax;</p>
              </content>
            </paragraph>
            <paragraph eId="schedule-7__clause-27__para-d">
              <num>d</num>
              <content>
                <p>set an amount to be appropriated from the Consolidated Revenue Fund under an appropriation in this Act;</p>
              </content>
            </paragraph>
            <paragraph eId="schedule-7__clause-27__para-e">
              <num>e</num>
              <content>
                <p>directly amend the text of this Act.</p>
              </content>
            </paragraph>
            <hcontainer name="subclause" eId="schedule-7__clause-27__subclause-3">
              <num>3</num>
              <content>
                <p>This Schedule (other than subitem (2)) does not limit the rules that may be made for the purposes of subitem (1).</p>
