This Act is the Transport Security Amendment (Serious Crime) Act 2021.
Each provision of this Act specified in column 1 of the table commences, or is taken to have commenced, in accordance with column 2 of the table. Any other statement in column 2 has effect according to its terms.
Note: This table relates only to the provisions of this Act as originally enacted. It will not be amended to deal with any later amendments of this Act.
Any information in column 3 of the table is not part of this Act. Information may be inserted in this column, or information in it may be edited, in any published version of this Act.
Legislation that is specified in a Schedule to this Act is amended or repealed as set out in the applicable items in the Schedule concerned, and any other item in a Schedule to this Act has effect according to its terms.
The Minister must cause an independent review to be conducted of the operation of the amendments made by this Act as soon as practicable after the end of two years after this Act commences.
Further independent reviews of the operation of the amendments made by this Act must be made as soon as practicable after the fifth anniversary of the commencement of this Act and at five yearly intervals thereafter.
The persons who conduct the review must give the Minister a written report of each review mentioned in subsections (1) and (2).
The Minister must cause a copy of the report of each review mentioned in subsections (1) and (2) to be tabled in each House of Parliament within 15 sitting days of that House after the report is given to the Minister.
